What about my existing booking data?
We import clients, appointment history, services, and staff from SalonMonster, Mangomint, Square Appointments, and Vagaro exports. Migration is run and verified by us before go-live — you keep operating on your old system until the day you cut over.
What are the Stripe fees?
Appointed uses Stripe Terminal at standard Stripe rates — there is no Appointed markup on card processing. You get the Stripe rate directly and the money lands in your Stripe account on the normal Stripe payout schedule.
Do clients need to create an account?
No. Clients can book, cancel, or reschedule from a passwordless magic-link flow — enter an email or phone, receive a one-tap link, done. Optional accounts exist for regulars who want to save preferences and view booking history.
How does the AI receptionist work?
Calls forward to an ElevenLabs voice agent that reads your live calendar, knows your services and stylists, and books, reschedules, or cancels in real time. Calls it can't handle (complaints, custom quotes, anything unusual) are escalated to a human with a full transcript.
Can I self-host Appointed?
Not today. Appointed is delivered as managed multi-tenant SaaS so we can guarantee uptime, overlap prevention at the database level, and AI receptionist availability. Single-tenant and on-prem deployments are on the roadmap for enterprise chains.
